Hello everyone! I just stumbled upon this site today and thought I should join, I see that the forums are not all that active, but what the hey maybe the posts will pick up a little bit.
I'm currently trying to read through all the rules posted here, then I will choose a army for my wife and I (shes a bigDr Who fan too)
Any suggestion for someone new to all of this?

Hi, UNIT and Daleks are a good start, I have Cybermen as well, they are my favourites. You can go for the classic Who period or try the new version as the Dr Who collectable miniatures range are almost the same scale as Black Tree, in fact, I think the Daleks are perfect and freely use both. Most 28mm modern SWAT ranges are good for the new look UNIT troopers, Eureka make some nice multipart ones. Happy gaming!

HI I'm not an experienced player but i think an Army of Unit troopers is a good start after all if anything comes to Earth UNIT will be the ones to stop them plus being a UN force you could use any nationality of troops which might make finding miniatures easier just a thought hope this helps

If it hasn't been mentioned before, there are a lot of 28mm miniatures at www.brigadegames.com. some of the WW2 British soldiers would look great in a U.N.I.T. detachment. Some of the mins that I am looking to get are the radio operators, and there is one min. that would be good for Jack Harkness. AD-SWW119 S.A.S. - Saboteurs(4), the one on the right.
