Hello there,
I'm posting as a guest since my account hasn't been authorized by the moderator yet.
I'm interested in getting ahold of some of the figures, not so much because I have an interest in playing the game, but because I'd like to have some of the major characters for display on my bookshelf.
What is the game like, though? Is it just a fun battle simulation? Or is there something of a Doctor Who feel to it?
Anyway, am I correct in assuming that the Harlequin figures all come unpainted? If so, could somone please tell me the proper way to paint them? Do you need a primer? What type of paint and brush do you use? Do you need some kind of finish coat, etc?
Does Black Tree ship to the USA? They have a base shipping price listed on their site that seems low and I can't imagine it's for worldwide orders.
Finally, that TARDIS set looks sweet. Any comments on it from anyone who has it? Is the TARDIS proportional to the miniatures?
Thanks!
Kevin
P.S. Too bad we won't get a 9th or 10th Doctor figure from Harlequin!

Like the Star Wars CMG, the Invasion Earth Rules set can be used either as a simulation OR as a proper Wargame. There are incidences where the bizarre happens (the worst being when Davros managed to beat a Unit Trooper in close combat - go figure), but its an excellent game!
Anyway, am I correct in assuming that the Harlequin figures all come unpainted? If so, could somone please tell me the proper way to paint them? Do you need a primer? What type of paint and brush do you use? Do you need some kind of finish coat, etc? = Yes, you do need primer/undercoat. Acrylic paints are best (and they are readily available), and some form of Matt Sealer/Varnish is a good idea when you have finished and the paint is properly dry. Brush wise, get a good selection. You can never spend enough on brushes, the better quality brush the better your models will look. Take your time, when you first start to paint its more patience than skill, later it becomes more skill than patience!

Finally, that TARDIS set looks sweet. Any comments on it from anyone who has it? Is the TARDIS proportional to the miniatures? = The Police Box is lovely, if a little expensive. Yes its in proportion, but its very much the Harnell Tardis.
